4th day at the Sundance Film Fest and perhaps my last full day. It's a monday and with it it carried a somber feeling from the very start. The greyish sky just literraly set the tone, but once we drove past Salt Lake City and into Park City there shun the beautiful sun with an astounding blue sky recolecting all of its warmth.
We headed to the digital department as that's where my mom was to be located. The streets weren't too crowded, not like the previous days. - Once there i walked around and decided to go on to main street and enjoy my stay such as an ambitious fan in search of its artists! Not really, well it seems to me that Sundance Fest is more of a journey in search of artists on the streets as opposed to the real good meaningfull stuff you get to see up on the screens! Anywho, off i went and it was fun!
Many don't know that along with the Sundance Fest there are tons of other film festivals going on concomitantly, one of which is called Slam Dance fetival. I decided to go check their stuff out and see if there were any interesting giveaways! Once there i was told that a series of short length films were about to start, thus my stay at that establishment for the next hour or so. - It was a total of 5 shorts, two of them really great ones! Well there were three specific ones that stood out to me... i don't really remember what they were all entitled, however i do remember having been satisfied by the "Don't Fence Me Out," "The Life of a Dog," and "General" respectively.
On my way back to the digital department to drop off the giveaways that i attained at that place i spotted a noisy crowd. And much to my delight most of them spoke portuguese! Well, noisy brazilians they always know how to have some fun! As soon as i saw them i knew that something cool was ahead of me... and so it was, Kevin Bacon, Ludacris, the guy from spiderman and two other famous dudes that i have no clue who they were! They were taping for the Sundance Channel. I tried taking some pictures but it was all too complicated with all those people bumping me around.
Now i headed back up much more excited and so willingly to share to my mom and her work buddies just who i had seen. - As soon as i get there my mom starts asking me 'where were you i was looking all over for you?!' 'Robert Redford is just right there, and i just spoke to Glen Close!!!!!' Hahaha this is awesome! Well, and so next to him i stood for the next 7 minutes and took some pictures... the place was dark so they don't look very good tho.
Not that i care much, but it's just all very fun! So back to the streets i went!! This time i decided to follow the paparazzis cuz they sure do know what they're doing and who they're going after. And 'Bam' all of the sudden they start running! I follow them and end up taking a picture of this supposedly famous girl who i have no clue who she is! They were all taking pictures so she was famous! - 2 minutes later we spot this other woman (who i admitedly announce that i forgot her name!)... i'm not really that much into actors. I guess that was it for the day in terms of famous people. I probably walked past a few and didn't even recognize them haha!
I was definately exposed to a whole bunch of well known movie directors these last four days. And am also proud to say that i got to see several panels and workshops with them, and that is just awesome. Ok, enough talking for today... bye.
